WhaleFest 14-16 March 2014 -- Hilton Metropole Briton UK

Opened by Gok Wan (award-winning TV presenter), featuring Steve Backshall (BBC Deadly 60) and closed by Miranda Krestovnikoff (BBC Coast & The One Show), WhaleFest 2014 is a family-friendly event that appeals to everyone. It’s for people who love whales and dolphins, those who know nothing about them, me, you, your gym instructor, everyone. A celebration of oceans and marine life through inspiration, science, music and more.

Humpback Sanctuary Whale Count - March

Aloha Ohana, 

Kai Palaoa will be leading up the annual whale count from Punalu`u Black Sands Beach, Hawai`i Island. The Whale Cout will take place over the next three months (Jan, Feb, Mar) on the last Saturday of each month.

We need volunteers. To volunteer at our site or any other sites throughout the islands please go to link below to register. ALL REGISTRATION MUST GO THOUGH THE WEBSITE BELOW.

Kai Palaoa will be leading up the annual whale count from Punalu`u Black Sands Beach, Hawai`i Island. The Whale Cout will take place over the next three months (Jan, Feb, Mar) on the last Saturday of each month.

Flying Through Blue Space

Aloha Hawaii Site leaders,

We wanted to bring to your attention a special event that the Sanctuary is hosting on Hawaii Island in February.   Graham Hawkes, Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Hawkes Ocean Technologies will makes his way to Hawaii to present about underwater flight technology.  During the month of February, Hawkes Ocean Technologies will be diving its DeepFlight Super Falcon two-man submersible in the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary. The expedition's mission is to listen to humpback whale songs and experience the humpback whales Hawaiian habitat during peak whale season.  

Graham Hawkes presentation is cost free and will be a great opportunity to learn more about Hawkes Ocean Technologies and their February expedition!
